NP 581 SECOND CLASS PASSENGER CAR

The NP581 was originally built as a holiday lounge car and then numbered NP487.  It was built by Pullman Standard in 1956.  However in 1962 it was converted to a 48 seat day and night passenger car and renumbered NP581.   When Amtrak took it over it was renumbered 4890.

Presently the floor is unstable and is not suitable for public display yet.  As we just got this car we have not yet been able to start work due to the efforts going into the Spokane Club.   Any donations toward this car will be much appreciated
