These 3 pictures depict how we received the Mann McCann. It had been painted green and renumbered to match the BN fleet of rolling stock. Rain and wet weather had taken its toll on the metal frame and wooden cab.

 This is the engineers view while pushing the Mann McCann. Taken from the cab of the #12 engine. 

Work started with a teardown to expose bad areas.  Due to a lack of manpower progress was slow.  Then in 2019 between the grant from the NPRHA and 4 new members standing up to work we are now accomplishing new goals.

Looking toward the back left side.  The stove was originally coal and will be restored to that vintage.

How bad can it get? The 3/8 thickness metal was more like a rusted beer can.

Metal has been cut out. Now to replace the non-existent metal.

In some cases the whole frame had to be replaced.

On the right Doug has completely replaced the old door with an exact replica. The door is built using mortise and tenon joint, the same technique that was used to build the door on the left.
