Very little is known about this depot and its function. There was no population to justify a passenger depot, nor was their any commercial value unlike Rosa which had two silicon mines. Nor was there a siding to allow for an approaching train to pass.

There is some confusion about “Hillside Siding” and “Hillside Depot’s” locations. The above picture was taken at Hillside Siding which is 3m north of Hillside Depot.
