Toy Train Christmas

Traditionally the model train has a place in Christmas. With the movie "Polar Express" kids (and adults) would imagine going to the North Pole. It became traditional to have a model train around the Christmas tree. Toy Train Christmas is a time when us "oldsters" get the chance to express our inner kid within us by building and displaying our model trains. Particularly one collection the owner talks about getting his first "O" gauge for Christmas 50 years ago as he proudly displays and runs that very same train set. We have a collection of model trains ranging from the wooden playschool set, Thomas Train, n-scale through g-scale. We also have a 1:1 full scale train that runs to the North Pole to meet Santa and Mrs Santa Claus where kids and their parents (and dog) can get their picture taken with Santa. The picture formats come in 5x7, 8 1/2x11, wallet size or CD and cost around $10-$20. All proceeds go to the Museum for restoring our depot and cars. We ask that if you want to take personal pictures you need to buy a set of pictures from us.  Please scroll down to see Santa, that is if you believe.......

Museum at Night

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;

Then finally the train stops and...........

YES!
Its Santa Claus!

And Mrs. Claus

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!
